Editorial Policy and Content Standards

Who writes the content

Content is published by the Heartline Works team. We do not publish invented author names or credentials. Where a page relies on a specialist’s input, it will say who and in what capacity.

How pages are produced

  • Calculator and unit pages state formulas and constants that can be checked against standard definitions.
  • Worked examples use round illustrative numbers and are labelled as such. They are never presented as current prices.
  • Design descriptions are built from measured facts about the file (size, path count, complexity) plus clearly marked suggestions for use. Suggested materials and software are suggestions, not tested guarantees.
  • Guides avoid claims we cannot support, and give ranges or “varies” when real-world results depend on the machine or material.

Updates

Each guide shows a last-reviewed date. When a constant, definition or workflow changes, the page is updated and the change is noted on the corrections page when it affects a stated result.

Content standards

  • Specific over generic: every design page has its own description based on that design.
  • Facts are separated from suggestions: measured values are shown as measurements; materials and applications are shown as suggestions.
  • No filler: pages that would repeat the same text as another page are kept out of search indexes until they have their own content.
  • Accessible: headings in order, text alternatives for images, keyboard-operable controls, readable contrast.
  • Honest about limits: each tool and design states what it does not account for.

Independence

Calculators and listings are not ranked by payment. If affiliate or sponsored content is ever introduced it will be labelled on the page where it appears.
