Kerf and Slot Fit Test Plate
Nine slots from 0.2 mm under to 0.2 mm over the nominal thickness. Cut it, test your material in each slot and pick the one that fits to set your kerf compensation.

Joints are re-calculated for the thickness you enter.

File check
- 10 closed shapes (0 as true circles in DXF); 60 polyline nodes.
- No open paths: every outline is closed.
- One layer in one hairline colour; units are millimetres, the SVG is sized in real millimetres.
- Finger joints for this template were verified to fit without overlap or gaps in a volume test at 3 mm and 4 mm material.
Always make a test cut or a test print on scrap before production. Kerf and shrinkage differ from machine to machine.
About the joints
Fingers are about twice the material thickness wide, in an odd number so every edge starts and ends with solid material. Panel sizes are outside dimensions. If your joints are tight or loose, adjust the thickness value by your measured kerf and download again. See the kerf guide.
